Is a Card the same as identity verification?
No. A card is a credential you issue and control. It doesn’t confirm a government ID is authentic or verify who’s holding it. For that, use OtterSign Identify.
Does a card replace a signed waiver?
No. The card is tied to the member’s account and waiver status, it’s a fast way to check that status, not a substitute for the signature itself.
Can members store it in a digital wallet?
Yes. Cards are wallet-ready on supported devices, so members can save theirs alongside their other passes.
How do renewal reminders work?
Set an expiration rule once. OtterSign sends 30-day, 7-day, and 1-day notices automatically, plus an optional alert on the expiration date itself.
Does staff need special hardware to scan a card?
